Managing your sponsorship

You can manage who can see your sponsorship and whether you receive email updates from the sponsored developer.

Note: Anyone with a GitHub account can become a sponsor. For sponsored developers, GitHub Sponsors is in limited beta and subject to change.

Managing the privacy setting for your sponsorship

You can choose whether your sponsorship is public or only visible to the sponsored developer.

  1. On GitHub, navigate to the sponsored developer's profile.

  2. Under the developer's name, click Sponsoring.

  3. On the right side of the page, click Manage your sponsorship.

  4. Choose who can see your sponsorship.

  5. Click Update sponsorship.

Managing email updates from a sponsored developer

You can choose whether a sponsored developer can send you email updates about their work. The sponsored developer will not have access to your email address.

  1. On GitHub, navigate to the sponsored developer's profile.

  2. Under the developer's name, click Sponsoring.

  3. On the right side of the page, click Manage your sponsorship.

  4. Decide whether you want to receive email updates from the sponsored developer, then select or unselect "Receive updates from DEVELOPER."

  5. Click Update sponsorship.
