Setting a theme for GitHub Desktop

You can set a theme to customize the look and feel of GitHub Desktop.

Tip: The dark theme is in beta and available for GitHub Desktop 1.2.4 or later. For more information about updating your version of GitHub Desktop, see "Updating GitHub Desktop."

  1. In the upper-left corner of your screen, select the GitHub Desktop menu.

  2. Click Preferences.

  3. Click Appearance.

  4. Click the theme you'd like to use.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the window, select the File menu.

  2. Click Options.
